Mosman Photography Awards & Social Isolation

A Changed World

Since announcing the Mosman Photography Awards, the world has changed,
with Social Distancing becoming the new normal.
Your images for Street and Landscape Photography may now need to be sourced
from a back catalogue of previously captured images.

In recognition, there is now, no time limit on when images were captured,
for enties into the Mosman Photography Awards.  The Categories have
also been modified to enable creative image making to be focused indoors,
or in your own backyard.

Many landscape photographers were preoccupied with travelling to far-off locations
to find unique images of people and places, relying on that “wow” factor to extract interest,
and engagement with their viewers.

As we turn inwards to our homes, or places of self isolation,
we need to look at the world around us with new eyes,
so that we can present the ordinary in a new or extraordinary way.

Entries will now be called for in April, with the competition closing at 5pm on June 19th, 2020.
The Judging Process will finish at the end of July, and announcement of Award recipients
has been brought forward to August.
